IN THE GARDEN
My art is always about life and the importance of lived experience, all that happens in the garden of life. Through my art, I hope to express the emotions of hope, despair, joy and sorrow with tenderness and reverence. I was born and raised in Korea and moved to the United States fifty years ago. My own garden of integrated and complex life, which bridges cultures, provides a rich and abundant pool to draw inspiration. I believe human truth transcends culture and time, resulting in a universal longing for beauty, hope and joy. I am grateful for this wondrous calling to be a recorder of life with beauty. This show is dedicated to Korean American Story an organization that we have supported for many years because their mission also amplifies the lived experience.
